Small businesses can often times get an unfair shake from the public. Most are probably just unaware of how important they are in the economy, and to the fabric of the nation as a whole. The fact is that small businesses make this country and world alike go around. More importantly, they are job creators. In fact, they create upwards of 80% of all new net jobs. Without even counting the agricultural sector, they still employ over half the population.

Small businesses are extremely important on the big scope of things. Most people don’t have the kind of resources to launch a global business in just under a few months. But it won’t stop any bootstrap individuals from tying to. These savvy entrepreneurs carve out their own niches in the market anyway. These niches are just as important to the fabric of our lifestyles as any Fortune 500 company is.

A good example, is the local convenience store. These are, more often than not, owned and operated by small business owners. They employee people in the local communities, and offer the invaluable service of customer convenience. One can only imagine the impact it would have if these stores weren’t so conveniently accessible.

Other great examples include: attorneys, dentists, mechanics, and restaurants. These are just a few examples in a long list of others that directly affect our lives on a daily basis. The internet has also spurred many great small businesses like http://www.legalherbsdirect.com These businesses are also gaining their position in the economy as more and more people enjoy doing their shopping right online now.

For the business owners themselves, there’s a strong sense of pride in creating something that other people deem valuable. This sense of pride is rooted deep throughout our American history. Unlike any other country in the world, we praise individuality and reward those small businesses that can tough it out and provide a service to the public that is in high demand. It’s almost patriotic to start a small business. That outside of the box thinking is what built this great nation once before to unprecedented levels ever witnessed on earth.

Small businesses are an intrinsic part of our society. They not only find unique ways of improving our lives, but they are also a leader in job creation. And the impacts of our small businesses are felt on the economy every day.

The health of millions of Americans each year relies on too many factors to name — but few people will deny the role of health care providers and workers in keeping people as healthy as they can possibly be. From an educational standpoint, it is important that students remain interested in careers in healthcare and pursue post-secondary educational goals to that end, such as a bachelor of science in health care or master of public health degree. Together, educated health care professionals can help increase public knowledge about the conditions that are harming so many Americans. When you think about the most dangerous conditions in the country, cancer likely comes to mind, along with heart problems and stroke. But one of the biggest threats to Americans’ health and well being comes from the accidental adverse drug interactions and overdoses associated with prescription medications.

Here is an infographic that helps you to see what the dangers of misuse of prescription medications really are, and how they are affecting hundreds of thousands of people yearly in the United States. Click to expand:

Over the past decade, many schools have seen a great increase in online education, whether an actual physical university is providing more and more online classes, or entire universities are online, offering degrees without ever even having met their students. While for some situations, online classes and degrees are extremely beneficial, but automatically integrating them into a physical university for students can lead to some conflicts in interest.

Online classes and degrees are great for people who are working, have a family, travel frequently, or have other life circumstances that prevent them from having a rigid class schedule to adhere to. This way working parents can manage their studies without having to sacrifice time with their kids and more easily manage their household schedules. Or sometimes, after heading down a certain career path, one might change their mind about their career decision and want to pursue another degree to gain access to their desired field. Continuing to work in a certain area while pursuing a degree in another can be very challenging, but is sometimes necessary for both financial reason and building your resume. Taking virtual classes also allows for more independent study, which is some student’s best learning style. When one is responsible for their own studies, and can keep a disciplines schedule, they frequently benefit more from research and reading OYO.

Some students, and this speaks for the majority of students, are more likely to absorb and really learn university level material if they are in a physical classroom interacting directly with the teacher and other students. The immediacy of discussion concerning advanced topics is necessary to quickly integrate new knowledge and have more complete comprehension of complex ideas. But with recent budget cuts and a tough economy across the country, more and more universities are looking to convert a greater number of courses to online instruction, a process that actually costs the student more (and extra fee is usually added to their bill) and, for most, reduces the value of learning.

I believe student should only be able to take course online if they are general education requirements that fall outside of their major requirements. For example, an art and design major may be able to take a math or foreign language course online, Or a math major may be able to take his required philosophy course online. A student who is unsure about their chosen major, or hasn’t declared yet, should definitely take their courses in the classroom, however, because you can’t really get a good feeling for a subject matter online. Taking offline courses may prevent the student from discovering a new passion for a field or career, which is what we’re supposed to develop and come to understand about ourselves while we’re in college. One might want to get an electrical engineering degree to design everything from a cutting edge home security alarm to managing massive networks, and then change their mind after taking a very compelling philosophy course and instead pursue law after obtaining their ethics degree. But that wouldn’t happen unless they were taking all of their classes in the classroom rather than online.

Education these days seems to be lacking. What am I saying? Seems? No, it IS lacking. Kids today can’t seem to count without fingers or do math without calculators.
For those of us over the age of 35, you remember when the teacher would berate us for using our fingers to count? And forget using a mechanical calculator. He used to tell me the only calculator we’d ever be allowed to use in his class was our brains. This was the 5th grade. I’ll never forget that teacher, his name was Mr. Macarri, I hope I got the spelling right.

And spelling is another matter. With how many people see what you’ve written or rather typed these days you’d think people would pay more attention to what your spelling looks like. But, no, sadly they do not. I understand that this is that era of texting and that you need to abbreviate things so that you don’t run out of characters in your message but when you’re posting messages on a social site you usually don’t have a character limit for those messages so use real words, please! And yes, I am one of those snarky people who will correct your spelling and grammar.

Grammar. No kids, it isn’t a cutsie new name for your grandparents. If you want to know the exact definition look it up. There are dictionaries online, USE THEM! Most computers have spell and grammar checks, please use them. I get so tired of seeing people using their instead of they’re. Is it just laziness or are they generally ignorant of the difference? Using then instead of than. I could go on forever about those lacks of correctness but I won’t.

The biggest problem with the education today is, I believe, budget cuts, frustration and futility. Not only on the part of the students but also on the part of the teachers. Teachers today are expected to not only teach but to be counselors and disciplinarians. If a teacher has 40-45 students in his or her class not only do they have deal with at least a third of their class misbehaving on a regular basis but because the teacher has to discipline these students on a pretty consistent basis they do not have to time to teach the rest of their students, much less designate one on one time for any student. Sure they can send the child to the office but the office doesn’t want to deal with them any more than the teacher does.

Now, let’s deal with another problem with education today. Political correctness. There is way too much of this going on in schools today. If the child doesn’t pass the test, fail him or her. And let me tell you I’ve heard parents complain that their child was given a failing grade and was upset and “We don’t want his/her feelings hurt.” Too bad, maybe then they’d get better grades.

Most of us are painfully aware that bus drivers have a very difficult job of transporting our precious little children to and from school. It is a challenging job most of us would not want to consider as a chosen career while driving down life’s road. One of the hidden benefits of being a bus driver is the side-splitting humor that evolves out of the mouths of babes and the bus transportation support staff of mechanics and dispatchers.

There are always common tales of bus drivers joking about extra large sizes of Pepto Bismol and aspirin as the only emergency equipment needed on the bus or student rear behind cheeks gracing the bus’s emergency door window. What is also known is that most people will never stand in a bus driver’s way even he or she is off duty. No one wants to be on the receiving end of things or wind up plastered to a bus’s nose as the latest fashion statement in hood ornament styles.

Kids can say the wackiest things. A driver pulled the bus over at a local restaurant that specializes in delicious chicken meals. Kids were acting up and just would not stay in their seats. The driver announced warnings over the loud speaker that the bus would not move until all friendly feathers were properly seated. A demure begindergartner student stood in the aisle with her arms crossed sternly shouting to all “Lay an egg and pop a squat on it!”

One fifth grade made a made a frenzied dash for the bus only to have his left foot land smack dab into a large mud puddle swarming beneath the door. He innocently asked if there was a toe dryer on board to dry his drenched feet. A high school student thought he was being smart when he asked the driver why there were so many dead bugs on the school bus windshield. The driver promptly told the student that the live bugs were on backorder from China.

An active athletic student was known for transporting tons of sports equipment. One day he was searching frantically on the bus while repeating something about missing his balls being in his shoes. When asked about the situation, he quite innocently noted that his missing balls were recommended by his doctor that the balls were to keep him off of his feet and on his toes. They were massage balls for aching feet.

School bus dispatchers can be just as funny on a whim. An exceedingly upset bus driver crackled his anger over the radio for eons as his tirade spewed forth. A young hot shot in a sports car deliberately cut off the bus only to whip out a camera snapping the bus driver’s picture. The silence over the airwaves was deafening. A female dispatcher amusingly asked the driver if he smiled back for his portrait and asked if the hot shot wanted his autograph.

Bus repair mechanics can be just as hilarious. A more destructive student ripped up two seats in the rear of a school bus. The mechanic simply replied that he was going to cover the damage with multiple little behinds. A driver noted on her school bus repair work order that some screw heads were loose. The mechanic left a set of pliers and note on how to use them. The note simply stated that pliers are used pop the heads of off the bolts that are not used, but in this case she could tighten the loose heads herself.

Kids today lack the necessary skill to get good grades in school. It is not a fault or their own but children do not know who to ask the questions that will help them improve their grades in school. There are a lot of techniques on the web on how to improve the children’s education grades.
Here are a few ways to help kids get their grades up.

First do your homework, this is one of the most important things that child can do to start improving their grades. Teachers do not reward lazy behavior this is why it is so important to bring homework done every day and on time. Homework is a practice given by your facilitator to help students improve on that specific assignment. Children that do their homework and turn it in on time usually get better grades.

Another great tool is to treat the teachers with respect and kindness. Using words of courtesy like yes madam, yes sir, please, and thank you, will make the teacher like you. Teachers do not like kids who yell, scream, curse or sleep in their classroom. That behavior will sure to get any students grades to the lower marks. When a teacher likes you he or she can give you a few points when you needed because he or she knows you are respectful with yourself and others.

Reading the chapter ahead will help any student ask questions on what he or she did not understand, as well as increase your participation in the class. Students who read the chapter ahead seem smarter that the others because they know about the subject that the teacher is teaching and can comment and answer questions.

Disciples need to learn that if they have a problem with a subject the best thing is to ask the kid that is doing the best on the class for help. Although ,students need to use always the teacher first for any questions, the smartest kid in the class can help the students with any problems he or she might have as well. Students that get good grades have friends that get good grades as well.

Students that do their best get notice by their teachers. If a student is trying their best the teachers will recognize the effort and award them points when they need it. For example if a student has a research project and a teacher sees and notices that he or she tried their best and the final grade was a C then the teacher based on effort could change the grade to a B.

In school when a student has low grades he or she might need to ask the teacher for additional work to bring the grade up. Teachers have tons of extra curriculum work for students. Children with low grades should ask their teacher for extra work to help them bring their grades up. There are many more ways to improve a students grade point average these are good skills to follow.
